Social Media Manager (Contract)

Social Exchange is looking for an experienced freelance Social Media Manager to support organic and paid social media execution across a portfolio of clients. This role focuses on creating highly engaging social content and well-considered, original copy, alongside scheduling and reporting, working from clear briefs and supplied assets.

Scope of work

  • Create social media content using supplied visual assets and brand guidelines

  • Write clear, engaging, on-brand captions across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

  • Schedule and publish content using a platform such as Sked Social

  • Prepare monthly performance reports using provided templates

  • Review performance and flag insights or opportunities

  • Support paid social activity where required, including interpreting ad results and assisting with execution (preferred, not essential)

About you

  • 3+ years’ experience managing brand social media accounts

  • Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail

  • Confident working across multiple brands and tones

  • Comfortable working independently with clear briefs

  • Experience with Sked or similar scheduling tools

  • Able to create brand-aligned designs using Canva

Role details

  • Freelance / contract role (ABN required)

  • Approximately 8-12 hours per week

  • Days to be discussed

  • Melbourne-based preferred

  • $75/hour, all-inclusive

  • Possibility of additional hours over time
